Milan Velomobile liveried; causes a stir
A crowd of several people formed outside the Laid Back Bikes showroom this afternoon as the newly-liveried Milan Velomobile was rolled out for a first taste of sunshine!
Alongside are specialist velomobile constructeurs Joe (L) from the Bicycle Works and David Gardiner (R) of Laid Back Bikes:
Needless to say, these excellent decals really help bring the bike together visually:
The race cap is also (partly) assembled now, with just the front visor to add:
The foot and knee bulges are distinctive, but the only alternative is to have a larger (heavier, less aerodynamic) body.
In this view you can see the twin IQ Cyo headlamps. Since the Milan is battery-driven, I understand these are going to be removed in favour of more conventional bike lights:
Quite a looker, I think you’ll agree!
